SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Linde Group’s operating profit for the full fiscal year of 2011 increased by 9.7% year on year to €3.2bn ($4.3bn), with sales rising by 7.1%, the German industrial gases firm said on Friday.
Its sales increased to €13.8bn from €12.9bn in the same period a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
The group’s operating margins for January-December 2011 increased to 23.3% from 22.7% in the previous corresponding period, Linde said.
“In the 2012 financial year, we expect to continue to achieve growth in group sales and an improvement in group operating profit when compared with 2011,” said Wolfgang Reitzle, the CEO of Linde.
The company aims to generate a group operating profit of at least €4bn in the 2014 financial year, Reitzle added.
