HOUSTON (ICIS)--US February styrene contract prices settled up by 4 cents/lb ($88/tonne, €66/tonne) on average, according to market participants on Friday, citing the 50-cent/gal increase in February benzene contracts.

The increase takes February styrene prices up to 7074 cents/lb FOB (free on board).

The settlements come a week after initial February styrene settlements were first reported up 3.505.00 cents/lb.

Final February styrene settlements were also below producers’ 7-cent/lb price increase nominations.

Producers have already come out with March styrene contract increase nominations of 23 cents/lb, on the back of a 3-cent/gal increase in the March benzene contract.
