SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Qisheng Industry and Trade is planning to start up its 150,000 tonne/year de-aromatic solvent oil plant at Zibo in Shandong province in early October, a company source said on Thursday.

The company will receive feedstock naphtha from Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical and focus on the northern China market for the sale of its output, according to the source.

Traders said that start-up of the Zibo plant will increase supply in northern China significantly and increase competition among solvent oil producers.
