HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene production in February totalled 779m lb (353,349 tonnes), a 12% drop from 890m lb produced in the same month in 2011, consulting firm Jacobs Consultancy said on Thursday.
Propylene production in February also fell by 11% compared with 873m lb in January, the group said in its monthly Hodson report.
Measured on a daily rate, propylene production in February fell by 5% compared with January.
US crackers operated at 88.9% of capacity in February. The figure is down from 92.5% in January and 90.2 % in February 2011, the report showed.
