SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Lanzhou Petrochemical, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), plans to restart its aromatic plant at Lanzhou in Gansu province in the middle of April, a company source said on Friday.

“The plant was shut down in early April for 10 days for a catalyst change,” added the source.

The plant can produce 160,000 tonne/year of benzene, 130,000 tonne/year of toluene and 110,000 tonne/year of solvent xylene, the source said.

“The shutdown will have little impact on the aromatic market because of its short duration,” a trader said.
