ExxonMobil restarting Texas cracker after two-month turnaround

HOUSTON (ICIS)--ExxonMobil is in the process of restarting one of its Baytown crackers in Texas, which had been down for planned routine maintenance, the company said on Wednesday.

ExxonMobil has two crackers in Baytown with a combined capacity of 2.2m tonnes/year .

Market sources said the unit that was down for maintenance was Baytown 1, which has 1m tonnes/year of capacity.

The cracker was taken off line on 1 February.
