SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Belgium-based chemicals firm Tessenderlo said on Tuesday it inaugurated its new automotive elastomers and compounds plant at Changsu in China on 16 April, without disclosing the plant’s capacity and financial details.

The new facility will produce high-performance, thermoplastic elastomers and slush molding compounds for automotive applications, the company said in a statement.

The plant will be operated by CTS Automotive Compounds (Changsu), it said.

CTS, a member of the Tessenderlo group, has other production sites in France and Poland where it develops and produces thermoplastic elastomers and slush molding compounds, according to the firm.
