US ethanol stocks rebound, as production falls on weak demand

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories rebounded last week, while production levels moved down alongside weak demand, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.

Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 13 April were at 22m bbl, up by 200,000 bbl or 0.9% from 21.8m bbl a week earlier.

Meanwhile, ethanol production declined to 884,000 bbl/day, a drop of 12,000 bbl/day or 1.3% from 896,000 bbl/day the previous week.
