HOUSTON (ICIS)--The M5000 methanol plant in Trinidad will most likely not get restarted this weekend because of a minor delay, Southern Chemical Corp (SCC) reported on Friday.
The 1.9m tonne/year unit went down about 10 April for a maintenance turnaround that was expected to last three weeks.
The plant is owned and operated by Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited (MHTL). SCC is the North American marketer for MHTL.
SCC’s statement said there would be more information about the delay early next week.
