SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) plans to restart its 264,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant at Mailiao in early June following a two-week turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.

The producer’s 175,000 tonne/year high density PE (HDPE) plant at Mailiao resumed production on 30 May after being shut for one week of maintenance, he said.

FPC’s other HDPE plant with the same capacity at Mailiao was scheduled to be restarted on 31 May after a three-day turnaround, he said.
