LONDON (ICIS)--China’s renewable energy firm Hanergy has agreed to buy Germany-based thin-film producer Solibro for an undisclosed sum, the companies said on Tuesday.

Hanergy is buying Solibro from Q.CELLS, a German photovoltaic firm that filed for insolvency earlier this year.

Solibro produces thin-film solar modules using copper indium gallium diselenide co-evaporation technology. It employs a staff of 430 at two plants.
