HOUSTON (ICIS)--US nylon exports for April were down by 8.3% from the same month a year ago, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday.
Exports decreased to 54,911 tonnes from 59,852 tonnes in April 2011.
Month on month, exports fell by 2.2% from 56,120 tonnes in March, the ITC said.
Top destinations for US nylon exports were Mexico, China and Belgium.
Imports came primarily from Canada and Germany and amounted to 7,426 tonnes, up by 29% in April year on year.
