China's Zhanjiang Dongxing delays restart of PP plant to 15 June

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Zhanjiang Dongxing Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Sinopec, plans to restart its 140,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Zhanjiang in Guangdong province, south China, on 15 June, a company source said on Monday.
The plant was shut on 10 April for at least 45 days of annual scheduled maintenance, but the restart plan was delayed to late June because of weak demand in south China, the source added.
PP supply may increase following the restart, a local distributor said.By: Rain Dong
