SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jinling Petrochemical, a subsidiary of oil and gas giant Sinopec, plans to restart its 75,000 tonne/year methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) unit at Nanjing in Jiangsu province in the middle of June, a company source said on Tuesday.
The unit was shut in late April along with an upstream 8m tonne/year crude distillation unit, the source added.
Normally Jinling Petrochemical runs the MTBE unit at about 70% capacity and retains all the output for captive use.
