SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China Resources will start up its new 300,000 tonne/year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle chip line at Zhuhai on 15 June, a company source said on Friday.

The company is running its two newer PET bottle chip lines at Changzhou in Jiangsu province, with a combined capacity of 600,000 tonnes/year, at 90% of capacity, the source said.

The company has another two older lines at Changzhou, with a combined capacity of 400,000 tonnes/year, which is operating at a low rate, the source added, without giving further details on the operating rate.

These two older lines will be shut for maintenance when the two newer lines are operating at full rates, according to the company source.
