China’s Chongqing Kabeile to start up methanol plant in August

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chongqing Kabeile plans to start up its 850,000 tonne/year natural gas-based methanol plant at Chongqing in southwest China at the end of August, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company is expected to achieve on-spec production at the plant in early September, the source said.

Construction of the plant started in December 2009, the source said.

Chongqing Kabeile Chemical is a subsidiary of Chongqing Chemical and Pharmaceutical Holding Group.
