China’s Luoyang Petrochemical to start up PP unit in October

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Luoyang Petrochemical is planning to start up its 140,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) at Luoyang in Henan province in October, a company source said on Tuesday.

The unit will be completed on 14 October and be able to produce 25 grades of homo PP, the source said.

The company is expected to become the biggest PP producer in central and western China after the start-up, the source said.

Sinopec is the parent company of Luoyang Petrochemical.
