Correction: In the ICIS news story headlined "Initial Europe July ethylene contract price down €170/t" dated 28 June 2012, please read in the lead paragraph ... An initial European ethylene contract price for July... instead of ... An initial European ethylene contract price for June .... A corrected story follows.
LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European ethylene contract price for July has been agreed at €1,035/tonne ($1,294/tonne), down by €170/tonne from June because of a weaker feedstock market and soft supply-demand fundamentals, a major consumer said on Thursday.
The contract, which was agreed on a FD (free delivered) northwest Europe basis, was between the consumer and a major ethylene producer.
The producer confirmed the contract price agreement.
($1 = €0.80)
