Yara shuts down Trinidad ammonia plant for maintenance

HOUSTON (ICIS)--One of Yara's ammonia plants in Trinidad & Tobago was shut down for maintenance this week, a source said on Thursday.

Yara's Tringen 1 ammonia plant at Point Lisas was shut down on 25 June for a maintenance adjustment.

The 525,000 tonne/year Tringen 1 plant is expected to be restarted on 30 June.

Norway-based Yara operates two other ammonia plants in Trinidad where it has a total production capacity of 1.385m tonnes/year.
