HOUSTON (ICIS)--A valve failure at Valero’s 170,000 bbl/day Sunray refinery in Texas did not affect production, a spokesman said on Friday.
The refinery released materials following an internal relief valve failure, according to a filing with the National Response Center.
“The report was filed following a small leak from a faulty valve yesterday. There was no material impact on production,” Valero spokesman Bill Day said.
The filing said the release was secured.
