HOUSTON (ICIS)--Formula-based North American acrylonitrile (ACN) June domestic (DEL) delivered contract prices narrowed in range from May as large volume buyers saw increases while small volume buyers saw decreases, market sources confirmed on Monday.

June contract prices for domestic buyers range from 88.89 cents/lb ($1,960/tonne, €1,607/tonne) for large volume buyers to 92.57 cents/lb for small volume buyers. This is a movement from 88.49 and 93.03 cents/lb, respectively.

The ACN contracts moved on a rollover of the June chemical grade propylene (CGP) contract prices, and a small upward movement of ammonia prices during June.

The ACN export contract prices, freight on board (FOB), dropped to a range of 71.21-72.58 cents/lb from the May contract price range of 78.02-85.05 cents/lb.

The export contract prices are based on historical data, which reflected the June spot prices.

North American producers of ACN include Ascend Performance Materials, Cornerstone Chemical, INEOS Nitriles and Unigel.
