HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner ExxonMobil experienced a valve malfunction at its Beaumont refinery in Texas, the company said in a state filing made available on Tuesday.

The company reported flaring at the 344,500 bbl/day refinery in alkylation unit 2, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

There was some impact to production anticipated with the outage, but all customer needs were expected to be met, the filing said.

A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
