SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Juhua Group Corporation plans to complete construction of its new 100,000 tonne/year caprolactam (capro) plant at Quzhou of Zhejiang province, east China, in the first quarter of 2014, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company plans to start the construction work sometimes this month but an exact date has not been decided yet, the source said.

“We expect construction will be completed in the first quarter of 2014,” the source added.

In April Juhua Group doubled the capacity of one of its 25,000 tonne/year line to 50,000 tonne/year line.

The company’s net profit showed a year-on-year decrease of 58% to yuan (CNY) 541m ($85m) in the first half of 2012 because of softer global and domestic economic growth, according to a report from the company.
