SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy restarted its 400,000 tonne/year paraxylene (PX) unit in Chita, said a company source.
“There are two lines [at] the Chita unit… one line restarted yesterday [12 July] and the other resumed production today,” the source added.
The Chita PX unit, which was closed by JX Nippon Oil & Energy for maintenance in mid-May, is currently operating at around 20-30% of its normal capacity, said the source.
