SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan on 19 July shut a 220,000 bbl/day crude distillation unit (CDU) at its ?xml:namespace>
“We are still researching on the cause of the fire,” the source said, adding that the blaze broke out at about 19:40
The company has yet to fix a timeline for the restart of the unit, which is the only CDU at the refinery and the only facility that was shut following the fire, according to the source.
Other facilities at the refinery include a 66,000 bbl/day vacuum distillation unit (VDU), a 45,000 bbl/day fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) and a 17,000 bbl/day catalytic naphtha reformer.
