SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China has started an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation on polysilicon imports from the US and South Korea, the country’s Ministry of Commerce announced on Friday.

The ministry is acting on petitions filed by leading domestic polysilicon manufacturers LDK Solar Co and China Silicon Corp on 2 July, it said in a statement.

The probe will last one year from 20 July 2012, but may be extended for six months under special circumstances, the ministry said.
