SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s TSRC-UBE (Nantong) Chemical Industrial has shut its 72,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on 28 July for about one month for routine maintenance, a company source said on Monday.

The plant was originally scheduled to be shut on 23 July but this was delayed as the company was building up its inventory for its downstream customers, the source said.

The plant will be restarted on 29 August, the source said.

TSRC-UBE (Nantong), which is a major BR producer in Jiangsu province, is a joint venture between Taiwan Synthetic Rubber Corp (TSRC) (55%) and Japanese firms Ube Industries (25%) and Marubeni (20%).
