Second Europe August ethylene contract agreed up by €140/tonne

LONDON (ICIS)--A second European ethylene contract price for August has been agreed at €1,175/tonne ($1,451/tonne), up by €140/tonne from July, a major integrated consumer said on Monday.

The consumer said it had followed the initial settlement with two of its suppliers but confirmation is pending.

Meanwhile, the initial propylene settlement for August, agreed at €1,065/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), has so far failed to find support.
