SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hohhot Petrochemical has postponed the start-up of its new 5m tonne/year crude distillation unit (CDU) at Hohhot in Inner Mongolia by one month to 8 September, a company source said on Thursday.

Hohhot Petrochemical, a subsidiary under PetroChina, originally planned to start up its newly constructed CDU and downstream units on 8 August.

However, an 8m tonne/year crude pipeline failed to come online as scheduled, the source added.

The construction of the facility was completed on 30 July.
