China’s Shandong Hi-Speed to start up bitumen storage late 2012

SINGAPORE(ICIS)--China’s Shandong Hi-Speed Group (SDHS) Chongqing Development is planning to bring on stream a 50,000 cubic metre (cbm) bitumen storage facility in Chongqing in late 2012, a company source said on Monday.

The facility consists of three 10,000 cbm tanks and four 5,000 cbm tanks, according to the source.    

The company is also building a 15,000 tonne/year modified bitumen plant at the same site, he added, with the expected date of completion not immediately known.

SDHS Chongqing Development, a subsidiary of SDHS, mainly engages in the production and trading of modified bitumen and bitumen additives.
