BRISBANE (ICIS)--Sumitomo Chemical Singapore is currently ramping up the operating rate of its 50,000 tonne/year No 1 polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) line after restarting it earlier this week, a company source said on Thursday.

The No 1 line in Jurong Island was shut in late July this year, the source said.

The company’s 50,000 tonne/year No 2 PMMA line at the same site is running at 100% of capacity, the source said.

The No 2 line is not scheduled to be shut for a turnaround this year, the source added.
