SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan-based CPC Corp has issued a tender to sell two parcels of 3,000 tonnes orthoxylene (OX) each for first-half September and second-half September loading, a company source said on Friday.

The cargoes are to be FOB (free on board) Kaohsiung and on an outright price basis.

The tender, issued on Thursday, is seeking bids by 21 August, which will remain valid until 17:00 hours Taipei time (09:00 GMT) on 22 August.

CPC was scheduled to shut its No.3 paraxylene (PX)/ OX for maintenance in Kaohsiung in early September for two months, following the restart of its No 2 unit, according to the company source.

The No.2 unit has a nameplate capacity of 260,000 tonnes/year of PX and 40,000 tonnes/year of OX.
