China's Ningbo Heyuan to start up MTO project in November

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Ningbo Heyuan Chemical is planning to start up a 600,000 tonne/year methanol-to-olefin project (MTO) at Zhejiang province at the end of November, a company source said on Friday.
The new unit will produce 200,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 400,000 tonnes/year of propylene, the source added.
The plant will consume 1.8m tonnes of methanol annually if it operates at full capacity, the source said.
