LONDON (ICIS)--German authorities on Friday issued an all clear after fire fighters and experts successfully emptied a damaged toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) tank at a foam production site in Oestrich-Winkel, west of ?xml:namespace>
Oestrich-Winkel town officials said that the damaged tank no longer poses a threat.
The site was released back to Koepp at 16:00 Germany time, subject to a number of conditions, officials said without disclosing what those conditions were.
The cause of Monday’s accident remains unclear. Regional environmental authorities and prosecutors have begun an investigation, they said. According to police, 26 people suffered injuries and were hospitalised for a short period following the accident.

The accident caused fear among many residents of the scenic wine town on the Rhine river, reports said.
