China’s Yicheng Shindoo Chem to build 300,000 tonne/yr NPK plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yicheng Shindoo Chemical plans to build a 300,000 tonne/year nitrogen phosphorous potassium [NPK] plant in central China that is due to start up in the second half of 2013, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company has received approval from the local government of Hubei province in April on its yuan (CNY) 178m ($28m) investment in the plant, the source said without specifying when construction of the unit will start.

Yicheng Shindoo Chemical is a subsidiary of Chengdu Shindoo Chemical, which is based in Sichuan province and is mainly engaged in the production of soda ash and fertilizer.
