LONDON (ICIS)--Yara has increased ammonia prices in the US Gulf to $705/tonne (€571) CFR (cost and freight) Tampa for September, the fertilizer producer confirmed on Tuesday.
The rise from this month’s price level of $690/tonne CFR Tampa follows last week’s hike in Yuzhny spot prices to $630/tonne FOB (free on board) from $600/tonne FOB. Prices had previously rolled over from July at both ports.
The hike comes amid robust demand from Asia and limited availability because of several plant turnarounds in the Black Sea and Middle East.
