China's Sinopec SABIC Tianjin Petrochemical shuts cracker

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sinopec SABIC Tianjin Petrochemical has shut its 1m tonne/year naphtha cracker in north China on 22 August for around 40 days of maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

Its 300,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) unit, 300,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant and 450,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit were shut on 21 August for scheduled maintenance.

The company is located in the Tianjin Binhai New Area.
