SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's LG Chem may delay the start-up of its new phenol/acetone and bisphenol A (BPA) facilities in ?xml:namespace>
The phenol/acetone plant with a nameplate capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 180,000 tonnes/year of acetone and the 150,000 tonne/year BPA plant were earlier scheduled to start commercial production on 1 November, the source.
However, the start-up may be pushed back to December this year or January 2013 as the completion of construction might be postponed, the source said.
