SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhongyuan Dahua Group is planning to restart its 30,000 tonne/year melamine unit at Puyang in Henan province in late September, a company source said on Monday.

“The unit was shut down on 24 July because of some technical issue, and we tried to restart the unit last week, but [there was a] mechanical failure,” the source said.

The company is running its two other melamine units – with a 15,000 tonne/year capacity each – at the site at full rates, the source said.
