SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Dongchen restarted its 50,000tonne/year propylene oxide (PO) plant in Shangdong province on 27 August following a shutdown, a company source said on Monday.

The unit was taken off line on 7 August because of an equipment malfunction, the source added.

The restart of the plant will help alleviate tight domestic supply, a market player said.
