Japan’s Taiyo Oil eyes 95% run rate at Shikoku refinery in Sept

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Japan’s Taiyo Oil expects to operate its 120,000 bbl/day Shikoku refinery at around 95% of capacity in September, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The refinery just completed a scheduled maintenance on 16 August from mid-June, the source said.
The next full shutdown of the Shikoku refinery is due in the second or third quarter of 2014, the source said.
Refining units at the Shikoku refinery include two crude distillation units (CDUs) – a 88,000 bbl/day No1 unit and a 32,000 bbl/day No 2 unit.
The refinery also has a 27,000 bbl/day vacuum distillation unit, a 19,000 bbl/day hydrocracker, a 25,000 bbl/day residual fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) and a 37,000 bbl/day naphtha reformer.By: James Dennis+65 6780 4327
