SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Hengli Petrochemical expects to start commercial operations at its 2.2m tonne/year No 1 purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Dalian in China's northeastern Liaoning province before 10 September, a company source said on Friday

The company has completed the final commissioning this week and aims to start commercial operation by 10 September, company sources added.

The start-up schedule has been pushed back once from end-July because of delayed construction of a ship berthing port at the project site.

Hengli Petrochemical is building a second 2.2m tonne/year PTA plant at the same site and is targeting to start up the No 2 PTA unit at the end of the year, the source said.
