HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Marathon Petroleum’s Garyville refinery in Louisiana continues to operate at reduced rates following Hurricane Isaac, a company spokesman said on Friday.
“We plan to continue to operate the facility at a reduced rate until the normal crude supply logistics return,” Marathon’s communications manager Shane Pochard said. “Providing assistance to our employees that were impacted by the storm is a priority.”
The 490,000 bbl/day refinery did not have any significant damage but did receive a large amount of rainfall, Pochard said. He declined to comment further on refinery operations at the site.
