Japan's JX Nippon Oil to restart Kawasaki cracker 28 Sept

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--JX Nippon Oil & Energy is on track to restart its 460,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at ?xml:namespace>Kawasaki on 28 September following the completion of scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Monday.
The company’s olefins conversion unit (OCU), which can produce around 140,000 tonnes/year of propylene, is due to resume operations as scheduled on 12 October, the source added.
The Kawasaki naphtha cracker was taken off line from 13 August to 27 September for scheduled maintenance whereas the OCU which is located at the same sit was taken off line at the beginning of August for maintenance.By: Helen Lee+65 6780 4359
