SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese chemical producer Maruzen Petrochemical has trimmed the operating rates at its 520,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at ?xml:namespace>
In August, the company operated the cracker at 86-87% of capacity, the source said.
“The margins are lower and the downstream markets are not doing well,” said the source, explaining the reasons for the rate reduction.
