SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Formosa Petrochemical Corp’s (FPCC) revenue more than doubled to New Taiwan dollar (NT$) 70.8bn ($2.4bn) in August this year, from NT$33.3bn in the same period a year earlier, on the back of higher petrochemical sales, the Taiwanese producer said on Wednesday.
Petrochemicals accounted for 26% of the total revenues last month at NT$18.1bn, representing a 20% increase compared with the same period in 2011, according to data released on the company’s website.
For the first eight months of 2012, FPCC’s revenues grew 3.8% year on year to NT$569.4bn, based on the data.
