HOUSTON (ICIS)--A contract worker died in an accident at Pemex's Morelos complex in Mexico, the company said on Thursday.

The employee, Jorge Luis Aguilera Ramos, worked for the contractor Petrolubricacion.

On Wednesday, he and another Petrolubricacion worker were injured when they were reviewing a section of the ethylene oxide (EO) plant at the Morelos petrochemical complex. While they were inspecting the section, a pipe carrying steam ruptured.

Both were immediately taken to a clinic, Pemex said.

The other worker, Juan Elias Dominguez Mendoza, is in stable condition at a hospital, Pemex said.
