SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Dynamic (Nanjing) Chemical Industry is planning to expand its ethylene oxide (EO) production capacity at Nanjing in Jiangsu province to 160,000 tonnes/year from the existing 60,000 tonnes/year, a company source said on Thursday.

The Chinese producer will invest $66.0m (€51.5m) to build a new 100,000 tonne/year EO unit near its 60,000 tonne/year EO plant at the same site, according to the source.

The construction of the new unit will commence when the company has received governmental approvals such as environmental clearance permits.

Dynamic (Nanjing) Chemical Industry is a subsidiary of Dynamic International Enterprises, which specializes in producing glycol ethers.
