SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwanese producer China Petrochemical Development Corp (CPDC) aims to start commercial operations at its new 100,000 tonne/year caprolactam (capro) line in Toufen, Miaoli county by the week of 28 September, a company source said on Wednesday.
“The raw material will be fed in from tomorrow,” the source added. “Should there be no quality issues, they should be able to produce on-spec product by next week.”

The company’s other 200,000 tonne/year line at Xiaogang is currently operating above 90% capacity, the source added.
