SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures remained flat on Wednesday, as buyers stayed mostly on the sidelines because the market outlook was uncertain, industry sources said.

January 2013 LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 10,890/tonne ($1,723/tonne), unchanged from the previous settlement on 18 September.

Around 1.10m tonnes of LLDPE, or 439,044 contracts, were traded for delivery in January 2013, according to the DCE data.
